ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

Our adult workshops run throughout the school term. People can come along to one session or as many as they like. There is small fee to attend our workshops.

After School Program

We offer children the experience of both indoor and outdoor activities designed to build self esteem and skills necessary to deal positively with life. Activities can include farm visits, bush craft, swimming, gardening, exploring the Taieri, baking, board games and other fun activities that encourage communication and conflict resolution skills. Children are supervised by one adult to every five children. Programmes run Monday to Wednesday for years 1 to 6, and Thursdays for years 7 and up. Children are collected from their schools and are returned home in our van.

Holiday Program

The holiday program runs during the school holiday period and it is a lot of fun. Children are dropped off and collected by parents or caregivers.
Children enjoy experiences that they might not otherwise have throughout the year. These might include trip to the Portobello Aquarium, Waihola for picnic and swimming, to Laser Force, the movies and visit rural location as often as possible, sometimes we stay in and cook, bake, paint, play games and the focus is on FUN.

To help meet the costs of these programs we ask people to make a gold coin donation.
